Verified Purchase. I came across this book in my kindle library that I had got back in March and I do not even remember getting it! Reading the reviews I thought it was about time I had a look! I wish I hadnt waited so long! I didnt quite believe some of the reviews that say you feel like you are inside the story, thinking it would have to be quite special to achieve that, but heck it really does feel like you are there!
I dont like spoilers in reviews. So it suffices for me to say that this author is really special. I read lots of books, but to be grabbed almost from the first word on the first page is really something! The story totally demands your attention from start to finish and you are almost racing to finish the book, but also sad you are coming to the end! Everything in the story was fantastically detailed and made for an enjoyable read. It is so descriptive that it does almost feel like you are watching the action unfold rather than reading it. I now need to go and look at the next books in this series! If I was to be honest, I came across this book via my Amazon recommendations, I absolutely Love Romance Suspense books, but as I hadn't heard of the author I wasn't expecting much, WOW how wrong was I, as my title says, this book kept me reading through the night! This roller coaster read was full of non-stop action and suspense with a touch of romance throughout.
The emotions between Dillon and Sara are believable in fact I did shed a few tears when they were on the plane, proper heart felt emotions. The Characters within the book are well developed, believable and the plot is quite intense. I don't want to give too much away by explaining the story, all I can say is you are definitely not wasting your money by downloading this book, I find some books have quiet parts, or bits you want to flick through as it doesn't hold your attention - you won't find that with The Edge of Trust as it grips you from page one and doesn't let you go! I first read this book back in when it was offered as a freebie. It blew me away and even after a 3 year wait I was still on the look out for the next book by KT Bryan.
So with the new one now published I thought I would refresh my memory and re read this one again first just to make sure I had not been mistaken. Not a chance as once again I found myself unable to put it down. It is edge of the seat exciting from start to finish. It had me squirming in parts, in tears and almost too afraid to turn the next page. Dillon and Sara's story is a beautiful, tragic love story. The obstacles they have to overcome are huge and I felt I was with them every step of the way. Did I love the book? Can't you tell.. More than five stars if I had my way. The Edge of Trust by K T Bryan - This book is a real nail biting read.
I love mystery and thriller books which this book as with some romance and family ties thrown in as well. Once I started reading it I could not put it down, my housework got left, each page wanted you to read more and kept you mystified to who the good and the bad guys were right up to the end. First book I have read by K T Bryan and I am sure it wont be the last. If you want a gripping read than this book is for you. Make sure to set some time as once started you want to finish it. As a fan of Suzanne Brockmann's Navy Seal Series, having read the product description thought ok will give it a go and see what it's like not expecting it to be in the same league as Suzanne's. Well I am sooooo glad that I did, the book hits the floor running and doesn't stop until the last page. Just as you thought you had the plot sorted then WHAM another rollercoaster ride of twists and turns. If you are looking for a book to while away an hour then this isn;t for you, it will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
Now have to wait very impatiently for the next book in the series. I got this book as a free download, but after just the first few pages I would have been quite happy to pay for it. It was a thrilling read, full of action and suspense. The details and settings are excellent, without being too heavy. It is a while since I found a book that I didn't want to put down, and this is that book. I wanted Dillon to succeed, good against true evil. I found myself getting attached to some of the characters and needing to know that they were okay. I look forward to the next book, all about Jake - hope it is as good as this one. I JUST LOVED THIS BOOK BY KT BRYAN, I AM NEW TO KINDLE AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A WESTERN ROMANCE READER, SINCE I BOUGHT A KINDLE AND I AM 71YRS OF AGE I HAVE STARTED READING BLACK OPS BOOKS.
I FOUND THIS BOOK RIVETING AND COULD;NT PUT IT DOWN, IT IS VERY EMOTIONAL IN PARTS AND KEEPS YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS BOOK TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS A GOOD READ. I AM WAITING PATIENTLY FOR HER NEXT BOOK TO COME OUT,WHICH I AM SURE WILL BE EVERY BIT A GOOD AS THIS ONE. KEEP THEM COMING KT.
